Q: Why Start Green Teens? A: Everyday more and more people are choosing to "live green," however, there are also many people that don't know exactly where to go our how to live such a lifestyle in every single community. Now and now high tech alternatives to fueling, heating, and transportation are becoming available, but what about the simple changes everyone can make? Green Teens focuses on the fact that by making one small, easy change, every single person can contribute to the environmental movement.
Q: What are some of Green Teens plans? A: Green Teens wants to make over our school cafeteria. Right now everything is disposable and made of styrofoam or plastic. Our school is trying to become more "green" so changing our cafeteria is a big part of that. We hope to accomplish this goal in phases, first removing plastic silverware, then changing to washable plates and bowls. This will take a lot of work, but with the right support, Green Teens can accomplish our goal!
Q: Where does my money go? A: Green Teens holds many fundraisers, and we are often asked where the money we raise will go. Green Teens has a lot of events planned every year, some relativly cheap, while others will cost us money. 100% of your money will go to helping the club purchase the tools that we need to continue fundraising or to actually helping us carry out events. We have a very limited budget, but we have big dreams and we can assure you that whatever money you help us fundraise will be fully invested in the community, and come back to help benefit you!
A: Without you, Green Teens wouldn't be a club. Share your ideas with us, what have you done that is successful? What would you like to see change in the community? Do you have connections to media that would be willing to help cover our next event? Maybe you have a bit of spare cash that you wouldn't mind donating to our group? Feel free to contact us and we will be able to work something out with you!
